I’m working on an idea that involves TED, and needless to say, I’m energized by it. TED is a terrific web site (and may I say culture?) where they claim “ideas worth spreading” through 18 minute talks, videotaped and posted. By the way, do you still videotape in the digital age? I guess you would now say recorded. Anyway — TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design. Since one of the only A’s I got in college was in speech communication, this site literally and figuratively speaks to my nerdish need to listen to good if not great speeches.
And because I’ve also become a Wordpress geek, (translation: that means this site’s content is managed through Wordpress) I noticed today that they’ve enabled TED videos to be embedded (I would have thought this could be done a while ago, but I’ll go with it). So…while I haven’t read Elizabeth Gilbert’s wildly popular book, I really enjoyed her talk. Especially since I don’t have genius nor will become one, it’s a topic on which to stew. I’ll likely re-post other talks here since if you visit the TED site, you may never leave as the menu is simply magnetizing.
Did you make it to Wordcamp on Saturday? If so, welcome to the WP geek secret society!
I did…see my newest post!
